Today it is almost deserted, but the charm remaines there. RVers access the town through a 2.5 kilometers tunnel, crossing the old mine shafts, with a spectacular view over the west plains. Its 800 habitants survive today thanks to the old mines and the pilgrims who comes to tribute to the St. Francois d’Assise image in the church of the town. The ancient residences, churches and theaters are witnesses to this prestigious past.
